Florida deputy shoots car burglary suspect in Lake County, sheriff says

A burglary suspect was sent to the hospital after a Lake County deputy chased and shot him, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.Sheriff: Deputy shot alleged car burglary suspectAccording to a news release, Lake County deputies responded to a report of an active car burglary on Nov. 5, 2026 around 3:40 a.m. near Cumberland Circle in Minneola.When deputies arrived, they found the suspect in the car, and they immediately started to run away.
